I’m only posting this for completeness 😂

It’s marathon week!!! This is not a drill. I am running a marathon this week.

No backing oot now!

I’m on a strict diet of easy running, best behaviour with no overdoing it.

W/C 16th September

Tuesday

I was leading the last LRC park session before moving over to Leeds road track for track season.

My plan said 3 miles easy, so I figured I’d run them in the park before the session.

The only issue is I went a little too quick. My legs were feeling well rested and good to go.

It just felt like I was on cruise control and yes I did overtake a random bloke in the park but it was just too tempting!

I knew this is NOT how to run a marathon.

Thursday

No run club today for me. Another easy 3 mile run. I had to head to my friend Becky’s house to drop some things off.

So lunchtime, 3 miles easy peasy.

Set off uphill and all was well. Great stuff.

It was really busy, cars, people and just general annoying traffic.

Due to my grumpiness I subconsciously must have sped up. WHOOPS.

I didn’t mean to, I promise!

Sunday

Oh you want to find out how my marathon went?

Stay tuned for a full review soon…!

Week 17 thoughts

I feel ready. I feel determined.

There are some nerves but I am ready to run this marathon and reach that finish line!

Honestly. Compared to the last time I was on a marathon start line this is a completely different experience. There will be tears but there will be Victory.
