Let’s get started…

This time of year is a bit naff for everything really. What day is it? Why have I eaten/drunk so much? Then it’s dark in the morning and again at half-past three with a delightful sprinkling of frost. Or buckets of rain. Urgh.

It’s not the best motivator to get out and go for a walk, forget about going for a run!

Yet here I am. 2019 has been a year where I started enjoying running, to loving it and it is now a huge part of my life.

Ready to run the Abbey Dash!

Thinking about my running journey, I have grown a lot. I will have been a runner for 2 years at the end of March, but sometimes I feel like a complete newbie! There’s still lots to learn and improve upon.

This is why I started this blog, to view my progress and how I’ve felt about it as we go along.

I have several hilly 10k’s coming up and some exciting Half marathon races. I do have time targets, but I want to feel strong and run them with confidence. Sometimes with running, I put too much pressure on myself and my mind starts telling me ‘I can’t do this’, despite proving otherwise.

It’s a work in progress…!

I hope you’ll join me on my next chapter of running! 🙂
